Brian Baker Wimbledon
(July 11, 2012)--Global sports and entertainment marketing leader Octagon announced today the signing of American tennis standout Brian Baker. Baker, 27, has surged in the rankings from 456 to 76 this year, after returning from a six-year hiatus that saw him have five surgeries in a five-year period.

Not willing to step completely away from the game, Baker took an assistant coaching position at Belmont University in Tennessee, where he had enrolled as a student. As his body started to feel better, Baker decided to give professional tennis another go, entering in futures events in the summer of 2011.

A former No. 2-ranked junior in 2003, Baker reached the fourth Round of Wimbledon this summer.

"Brian's journey is truly compelling and is one of the most unique stories in sports in recent years," said Octagon Senior Tennis Director Kelly Wolf. "We are thrilled to work with ham and look forward to providing him with first-class management as he makes his transition back to full-time professional tennis."
