Robin Soderling has proven his worth yet again, beating David Ferrer 7-5, 7-5. Ferrer gave Soderling a good run for his money, but Soderling, no doubt upset from his loss to Andy Murray, spurned a straight set win over Ferrer in the late match of today’s ATP World Tour Finals.

Soderling looked visibly distressed, though he played a great game; he is known to let his emotions show on court, but lets them have little effect on his playing. Despite his mood, Soderling dominated the court, making Ferrer chase balls to and fro.

Ferrer was obviously distressed, hitting his racquet into the court as he loses the game from an over-shot ball. That was probably the end of the tournament for him. Ferrer plays Andy Murray and Federer takes on Soderling, both on Thursday. Tomorrow’s matches are Berdych and Roddick in the morning and Nadal facing Djokovic in the evening.
