(June 23, 2011) She almost upset the World No. 3 Vera Zvonareva and fought through cramping at the second round of Roland Garros. To make it to the third round at Wimbledon, German wildcard Sabine Lisicki upset French Open Champion Li Na 3-6, 6-4, 8-6 Thursday.

Li broke Lisicki in the first break point of the match and served to win the set.

The second set ended with Li double faulting between the two sharing breaks of serve. The German broke her five of 11 break point opportunities, while she gathered four of 11.

Li Na had two match points but Lisicki fought at deuce for a third match point when the third-seeded Li hit the ball wide in a 54-minute third set.

The 2009 Wimbledon quarterfinalist folds to her knees with tears of happiness.

Lisicki rejoiced in her post match interview saying, "My emotions are over the moon!"

Prior to this match, Lisicki had a fair bit of unluckiness.

She was injured for the majority of the 2010 season and said, "I had to start over from being on crutches for 7 weeks."

Now, the World No. 62 hit the most aces at the All England Club thus far for the ladies with 17 total aces.

She had 32 winners, 21 unforced errors, 5 doubles faults and won 76 percent of first serves in her second round victory. She hit a whooping 124 mile per hour serve on top of her success.

She is also one of the contestants fighting for a contract with the Sony Ericsson's WTA in the
Xperia Hot Shots social media contest. This may put her ahead of the her opponents. She is currently in second place after Sorana Cirstea for her followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube.
