(June 16th, 2012) After his surprising run to the fourth round of Roland Garros, Belgium's David Goffin has become one of the ATP Tour's hottest young stars. Find out more about him as he prepares to take on Wimbledon this month.

1. The Essentials: Born in Rocourt, Belgium on July 12th, 1990, Goffin continues to reside in Liege, Belgium. His father, a tennis coach, taught him the game starting at age six.

2. Nickname: La Goff

3. Hobbies: Golf

4. Social Media Savvy: Recently joined Twitter and goes by the handle @David_Goffin

5. His First Time: Goffin won his first ever ATP main tour match at the 2011 Chennai Open in the first round against India's No. 1 Somdev Devvarman.

6. History Maker: Goffin became the first "lucky loser" to reach the round of 16 at a Grand Slam since his country Dick Norman did it at Wimbledon back in 1995.

7. Favorite Surface: Hard courts

8. Federer Fan: Goffin, who lost to Federer in the fourth round of Paris, admitted that Federer was his tennis idol growing up and that he had posters of Federer on his bedroom wall.

9. High Hopes: Goffin hopes that his stellar result in Paris isn't a fluke and plans to work hard to reach that level in other Majors. "Well, of course people will expect more from me in the future. But I’m still very young. I’m working on the long term, and if I want to have a long career, I still have to work hard. Of course you can’t play in the round of 16 in a Grand Slam tournament three times a year, so I’m going to work hard to go back to the same level. It might not happen overnight, but I will give it all so that I can improve. I still have to work a lot. I still need to develop my play. I’m young. I have a long career ahead of me, so I’m going to work on the long term."

10. Wimbledon Wildcard: Goffin earned a coveted wildcard into this year's Wimbledon. His next schedule match will be at the Unicef Open where he also earned a wild card into the event.
