August 19: Two-time Olympic gold medalist Mary Joe Fernandez turns 41. Born in the Dominican Republic, the American citizen won the gold in women's doubles at Barcelona in 1992 at Atlanta in 1996 with teammate Gigi Fernandez. She also won the doubles title at the 1991 Australian Open and the 1996 French Open, and was ranked as high as No. 4 in both singles and doubles in her career. Fernandez is now a television commentator for tennis.

August 21: Current WTA doubles No. 1 Liezel Huber turns 36. The native of Durban, South Africa, has won 52 doubles titles, including five Grand Slams -- Wimbledon in 2005 and 2007, the Austrlian Open in 2007 and the US Open in 2008 and 2011.  She also has two mixed doubles Grand Slam titles - the 2009 French Open and the 2010 US Open.

Spanish clay court specialist Nicolas Almagro turns 27.  Currently ranked No. 12 in the world, Almagro is a three-time French Open quarterfinalist and has 12 career titles, all 12 of which have come on clay. He's been ranked as high as No. 9 in the world.

August 22: Swedish former No. 1 Mats Wilander turns 48. Wilander won seven Grand Slam singles titles -- three at the French Open, three at the Australian Open and one at the US Open, and one doubles Grand Slam at WImbledon. In all, he won 33 singles titles and led the Swedes to seven striaght Davis Cup finals. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2002.

August 23: Six-time American Grand Slam winner Nancy Richey turns 70. Richey won two singles Grand Slams -- the Australian Open in 1967 and the French Open in 1968; and four Grand Slam doubles crowns - the US Open in 1965 and 1996, Wimbledon in 1966 and the Australian Open in 1966. She also helped the US to the Fed Cup title in 1969 and won 69 singles titles during her career which ended in an International Tennis Hall of Fame induction in 2003.
