, rang the NASDAQ Opening Bell remotely today from the US Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, New York.
Wilson, the leading manufacturer of ball sports equipment, is the official ball and stringer of the US Open.
Oudin:
Melanie Oudin, whose breakout onto the tennis scene happened her at the U.S. Open in 2009, lost her first-round match in singles to the seeded
Lucie Safarova
. She and doubles partner Grace Min also bowed out in the first round. Oudin is still in the mixed doubles draw, advancing to the second round with partner Jack Sock. Sock and Oudin are the mixed doubles defending champions.
