Novak Djokovic called the shots successfully defending his Wimbledon title. He's calling the lines in his Rogers Cup return.

The world No. 1 paused practice in Montreal and dropped into an investigating CSI pose scrutinizing the spot where Philip Bester's backhand return winner landed.

Djokovic will be doing double-duty in Montreal.

In singles, he has a first-round bye and will play either Thomaz Bellucci or Pablo Cuevas in his opener. Djokovic rallied from a set down defeating Bellucci in the Rome round of 16 in May. The top seed has not dropped a set to Cuevas in two career meetings.

In doubles, Djokovic will enjoy a Serbian Davis Cup reunion: He is partnering Janko Tipsarevic against good friend and frequent practice partner Viktor Troicki and Italian Andreas Seppi.
