The more we think about it, the more we want to say that Stan Wawrinka has the best one-hander of all time. He has the most power off that wing, goes down the line better than anyone else, and he also can carve out some OBSCENE angles.

Take this shot for instance. Wawrinka is on the run, crouching and reaching out wide, and he still has the wherewithal to snap his racquet around the outside of the ball to take it crosscourt for a tantalizing winner past Ivo Karlovic.

This is a Federer-esque backhand winner and it’s pure artistry. Wawrinka’s backhand might be known for being powerful and heavy, but when he needs to, the Stanimal can be as delicate as they come.
