Second Serve

It appears that in Cincinnati, Stefanos Tsitsipas is the Queen Bee.

During his 7-6(3), 7-6(2) victory over Ben Shelton at the Western and Southern Open on Wednesday, Stefanos Tsitsipas was bothered by a bee while preparing to serve. Later, he was bothered by a heckler imitating a bee as he continued to lock down his serve during the contest.

“There’s a person imitating a bee behind me,” he told umpire Nacho Forcadell. “It’s a buzz, right before I serve."

Tsitsipas first approached the chair, then approached the fans, trying to figure out which fan was the culprit. Eventually the fifth-ranked Greek found his way to victory without ever facing a break point against Shelton.

And, to top it off, he got an apology from the fan.
