Video: Monfils’ Miracle During IPTL Match in New Delhi



The Micromax Indian Aces gave their home fans a lot to cheer about during their first home match of the IPTL season on Saturday, and, as expected, Gael Monfils raised the roof. Monfils pulled off this miracle shot off a Jo-Wilfried Tsonga overhead before losing his singles set with Tsonga, 6-4.

But Monfils was given another chance at Tsonga when Ana Ivanovic took down Kirsten Flipkens, 6-2, to force a super shootout. What the heck is a “super shootout,” you ask?

Good question. All you really need to know is it has the word super in it, so it must be good. Monfils ended up being the hero on the day, defeating Tsonga to clinch the victory, and Nick Kyrgios was quick to give him props on Twitter.
