Watch: Stakhovsky Hits Dreamy Tweener vs. Wawrinka in Marseille

Stan Wawrinka saved two match points and notched the hard-earned victory over Sergiy Stakhovsky at the Open 13 Provence in Marseille on Wednesday, but it was the Ukranian who stole the show on this pitch-perfect point.

In the end Wawrinka would steal the thunder back from Stakhovsky. The Swiss converted his second match point to prevail and successfully avenge a quarterfinal loss to Stakhovsky from last season in Marseille. Wawrinka’s 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(8) victory improves his record to 8-1 on the season.

He will face either Benoit Paire over Vincent Millot in the quarterfinals on Friday.
