It's the latest honor for the 21-year-old Osaka, who swept her tennis hero, Serena Williams to capture her maiden major at the US Open in September.
Osaka backed it up beating two-time Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova in a three-set Australian Open final becoming the first woman since Jennifer Capriati in 2001 to win her first two Grand Slam titles in succession.
The top seed in Dubai this week, Osaka accepted her award in a video speech she taped from the Evert Academy earlier this month.
