Tomas Berdych is no longer part of the singles scene.

The 2014 Australian Open semifinalist announced he is engaged to long-time girlfriend Ester Satorova. Berdych and Satorova made the joint announcement to Australia's Channel Seven during an interview at the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne.

Berdych, who previously dated fellow Czech player Lucie Safarova, has been dating Satorova since late 2012. He revealed he popped the question during the couple's recent holiday.

"Our holiday was a little bit more special; we just get engaged there," Berdych said.

Big Berd's traditional proposal took place by the beach at night and surprised Satorova.

"It was really amazing. I didn't expect it, of course," she said. "It happened after dinner. He took me on the beach in the night-time [with] candles and music and table so he was really well prepared. It was an amazing feeling. I'm really happy and for us to be happy is most important."
