Second Serve

Serena Williams' impressive win over Agnieszka Radwanska (buoyed by that awe-inspiring serve, among other things) propelled the younger Williams further up the record books. Meanwhile, the devastating first-round loss of Venus Williams (to Elena Vesnina) altered her place in the all-time winning percentage for the Slams.

- Serena Williams reached her 21st Grand Slam semifinal, moving her past Martina Hingis into a fourth-place tie with Aranxta Sanchez-Vicario.

- Serena Williams reached her 33rd Grand Slam quarterfinal, tying her with sister Venus for fifth-place all-time.

- With seven match wins, Serena Williams reaced 217 Grand Slam matches won in her career, moving into fourth-place all-time and surpassing sister Venus and Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario (212 each).

- Venus Williams slipped on the Grand Slam all-time winning percentage chart with their efforts at Wimbledon. Wiliams' first-round loss saw her record slide to 211-48 (0.8147) -- dropping her from ninth to 10th. She fell just behind Kim Clijsters, who at 132-30 has a winning percentage of 0.8148.

- By claiming her 42nd career WTA title, Serena Williams is now tied with Evonne Goolagong for ninth place all-time, moving past Kim Clijsters (41) and just one back of a three-way logjam at sixth between sister Venus, Martina Hingis, and Justine Henin.
