Video: Astounding Doubles Set Point in Newport

If you think net play is extinct, you probably haven't watched Nicholas Monroe play.

The 33-year-old American doubles specialist pulled off an astounding series of volleys at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships turning set point into sensational point.

Watch Monroe get caught poaching, adjust to a ball hit behind him, pull off a 360-degree spin like Spiderman, and eventually win the point with an exquisite angled drop volley.

Monroe, pulling off moves reminiscent of a young Earl Monroe, and partner Mate Pavic won the match to advance to the Newport semifinals.
