Video: Gasquet’s Prayers Are Answered on 3rd Match Point vs. Kyrgios



France’s Richard Gasquet is moving on to the quarterfinals. And he might have the tennis gods in the sky to thank. Nick Kyrgios had two set points to force a 5th set against Gasquet (after saving two match points in the third), but he double-faulted twice in the final four points to fall, 7-5, 6-1, 6-7(7), 7-6(6).

Unlike 2014, when Kyrgios saved 9 match points to defeat Gasquet, the Frenchman’s prayers were answered on this Manic Monday:

Gasquet advances to face Stan Wawrinka in the quarterfinals.
