Video: Ana Ivanovic Lashes the Line


Qualifier Michelle Larcher de Brito surprised defending Birmingham champion Ana Ivanovic, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (6), to reach the Aegon Classic round of 16.

The former No. 1 flashed this jolting running forehand winner down the line to tie the tie break at 4-all. Ivanovic celebrates the crackling winner with an enthusiastic fist pump.

It seemed the shot might ignite the second seed, but Larcher de Brito converted her third match point when Ivanovic clanked her sixth double fault, ending an entertaining one hour, 48-minute match.
