Grigor Dimitrov got a nice birthday gift from Tommy Haas on Friday in Rome, as the German was forced to retire after due to injury after the first set of their quarterfinal tussle. Dimitrov had stormed Haas to take the first set, 6-2, so he probably didn't need the gift, but the 23-year-old Bulgarian will no doubt appreciate the extra rest for his legs as he prepares for his first Masters 1000 semifinal against either Rafael Nadal or Andy Murray on Saturday.

He probably won't appreciate the gift his coach Roger Rasheed gave him, however (though it did make him smile).

Three words: Roger Rasheed rocks!

Three more: Happy birthday Grigor!
