Video: Dimitrov’s Perfect Half-Volley with Slide



Connoisseurs of clay-court tennis will love this exquisite half-volley from Grigor Dimitrov. We honestly don’t know which is better: the way that Rafael Nadal slides into the backhand after the Bulgarian attacks him with the forehand down the line, or the slide that Dimitrov executes while feathering this perfect volley crosscourt.

Dimitrov has to hunch to get low then basically does the splits while sliding into the shot. How in the world does he make that?

Nadal would win the match, 6-3, 6-4, but Dimitrov showed his potential and incredible athleticism on this point.
