Video: Roland Garros Player Party


A massive tennis ball swinging from the Eiffel Tower like a chandelier welcomed guests to the Roland Garros launch party at the iconic Tower.

Reigning champions Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova, 2008 champion Ana Ivanovic, runner-up Simona Halep, Monica Puig and Alize Cornet were among the players who attended the party.

The king of clay said Paris is among the most scenic cities on the circuit.

"You go to different cities around the world and visit places," Nadal said. "In Paris you don't need to visit nothing; just walking around and you see how beautiful is this city."
