Novak Djokovic and US Open champ Andy Murray lead the field in Paris for the ATP BNP Paribas Masters and ESPN3 will have 65 hours of live action through the championship Sunday, Nov. 4.  Other top players in competition include David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Juan Martin del Potro, and American John Isner

Defending champion and current No. 1 in the world Roger Federer withdrew from the event after Sunday’s ATP final in Switzerland, effectively relinquishing any chance at the year-end top ranking.  Djokovic will take over the top spot no matter what happens in Paris and will keep it regardless of the outcome of next week’s ATP World Tour Finals in London.  ESPN3 will present live action from London all week, Monday, Nov. 5, through the championship Monday, Nov. 12, with ESPN2 joining Thursday, Nov. 8, through the championship.

What is on the line, however, in Paris are the final two of the eight slots for the London Finals.  Tsonga and Janko Tipsarevic have the best position to secure a ticket to London, followed by Richard Gasquet, Nicolas Almagro, Juan Monaco, Milos Raonic, Isner and Marin Cilic. Awaiting whoever emerges out of Paris to complete the field are defending champion Federer, Djokovic, Murray, Ferrer, Berdych and Del Potro.

ESPN3 provides live match coverage from all ATP Masters 1000 and 500 series events and WTA Premier events held outside of North America, and the season-ending championships of both tours in 2012.  The next event will be the season-ending ATP Masters 1000 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals from London, England.  Coverage on ESPN3 begins Monday, Nov. 5.
