Good Stan, Bad Stan, Smiling Stan



Look at the video above and you will see the mother of all one-handed backhands in all its glory. Watch, as Stan Wawrinka playfully pummels two crosscourt, spin-laden balls, the second at a more acute angle than the first, before absolutely defiling a down-the-line backhand winner.

Not only is the combo impossible to defend for Benoit Paire (or anybody else for that matter)—it’s also drop-dead gorgeous to watch.

And now, below, we show you Stan’s ugly twin, the desultory forehand—OOPS. Hard not to crack up when you botch a ball that bad (and a lot easier to laugh when you're winning)…
