Maria Sharapova made her first public television appearance after learning the result of her appeal with the ITF. It appears that there are definitely some hard feelings lingering between the five-time major champion and the ITF. The Russian had her 24-month suspension reduced to 15 months by the Court of Abritation for Sport and will be eligible to return to the WTA Tour in April of 2017.

In an appearance with Charlie Rose, the Russian tells the host that she now has trouble believing that the ITF wasn’t out to make an example of her during her case.

Rose asks Sharapova if she thinks that the ITF was trying to make an example of her and she replies: “I never wanted to believe that but I’m starting to think that.”
