It wasn’t Alexander Zverev’s day at Shanghai. The same could be said for his racquet. After getting broken in the 11th game of the third set of his round of 16 battle with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Shanghai Masters, the 19-year-old lost his cool.

This video doesn’t even show the half of it. After getting to his chair Zverev proceeded to continue smashing that poor Head Graphene.

He left it lying lifeless on the ground, like so:



Tsonga saved three break points, rallying from 0-40 down to serve out the win in the next game. It was a wild match that saw Zverev blow a break lead in set four.

Oh, yeah, and this happened near the end of the second set, making matters slightly more complicated:
