Aryna Sabalenka has tested positive for Covid-19 and will not play this year’s BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. The current World No.2, who has already qualified for this year’s WTA Finals in Guadalajara, posted the news on her Instagran stories on Saturday.

“Unfortunately I’ve tested positive at Indian Wells and won’t be able to compete,” she wrote. “I’ve started my isolation and I’ll be staying here until I’m cleared by the doctors and health officials. So far I’m feeling ok, but really sad to not be able to play this year.”
