This past Monday, Caroline Wozniacki dipped to No. 8 in the WTA rankings, her lowest slot since early July of 2009. Here's a quick look at the rise and fall of three former No. 1's with similar circumstances to Wozniacki.

Two-time former champions, Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, bounced back from last week's second-round loss at the Madrid Open with a 6-3, 6-2 victory Wednesday over Santiago Gonzalez and Christopher Kas at Rome and advanced to the quarter finals today.

The blue clay of Madrid was enough to cause some shifts at the top -- including Federer back as the ATP's No. 2 and Serena continuing her climb up the women's rankings.
