Top seeds Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams learned who they will face in the opening round of this year's Wimbledon.

Top seeds Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams headlined this year's Wimbledon draw ceremony that took place on Friday.

Wimbledon Draws: Men | Women

Djokovic will start his campaign against Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan. No. 6 seed Tomas Berdych could meet Djokovic in the quarterfinals.

No. 2 seed and World No.1 Rafael Nadal opens versus Slovakia's Martin Klizan. Nadal, though winning a record ninth French Open title in Paris, lost in the opening round of the grass court tune up Halle event to Germany's Dustin Brown.

Nadal might meet up with No. 8 seed Milos Raonic in the quarterfinals.

The remaining projected quarters sees No. 3 seed Andy Murray against No. 7 seed David Ferrer and No. 4 seed Roger Federer versus No. 5 seed Stan Wawrinka.

In the ladies', draw, Williams will face fellow American Anna Tatishvili in her opening round match.

No. 12 seed Eugenie Bouchard and No. 5 seed and new French Open champion Maria Sharapova are also in this section. Sharapova could face Williams in the quarterfinals.

The remaining potential women's quarterfinals could be Li Na versus Petra Kvitova, Simona Halep versus Jelena Jankovic and Agnieszka Radwanska against Victoria Azarenka.

Last year's finalist Sabine Lisicki of Germany was chosen to start ladies' competition on opening day.
