Keeping up with the game of tennis, by the numbers. Each day at Tennis Now we’ll give you a fresh set—without any further ado, here’s what the numbers say on Day 5 of Wimbledon.

29

Consecutive sets won by Roger Federer at Wimbledon. The Swiss is just six sets from breaking the all-time Wimbledon record for consecutive sets one (held by him). Federer won 34 straight sets in 2005 and 2006.

The Swiss also passed Jimmy Connors on the all-time win list by notching his 175th victory on the surface. Federer now owns a 175-25 on grass, while Connors finished his career at 174-34.

17

Consecutive wins by Serena Williams at Wimbledon. The American pushed past Kristina Mladenovic, 7-5, 7-6(2), to book a round of 16 clash with World No.120 Evgeniya Rodina. Williams improves to 89-10 lifetime at Wimbledon with the win.

74

Percent of return games that Daria Kasatkina has won in her first two rounds (14/19). The Russian leads all WTA players still remaining in the draw by a wide margin. Novak Djokovic (13/24, 54) percent leads all men.

5

Number of five-setters that Alexander Zverev has won in succession. The German battled past Taylor Fritz on Day 5 to book his spot in the third round. Zverev now owns an 8-5 lifetime record in five-setters.

3

Number of wins that MacKenzie McDonald has earned in succession. The 23-year-old has reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon by defeating Guido Pella, 6-4, 6-4, 7-6(6).

119

The fastest recorded serve of Serena Williams on Day 5. The American has served harder in each of her three matches, despite being broken twice over the course of her 7-5, 7-6(2) win over Kristina Mladenovic.

113

Number of aces John Isner has served in three victories at Wimbledon. The American has seen 164 of his 242 first-serves (68%) go unreturned, which leads all players at Wimbledon. Isner cracked 64 aces in his second-round victory over Ruben Bemelmans, which is third-best in Wimbledon history.

76

Percent of returns put in play by Fabio Fognini through three rounds at Wimbledon. The Italian has broken serve 12 times out of 31 return games to reach the third round.

0-5

The record of China’s Zhang Shuai at Wimbledon after her three-set loss to Andrea Petkovic on Day 1.

831

Number of consecutive weeks that Svetlana Kuznetsova has been ranked inside the WTA’s Top 100, per WTA. That is quite a long time.

16

Consecutive matches won by Nadal at Roland Garros. Would you best against him breaking his own personal record of 39 consecutive match wins at Roland Garros?
