Top-seeded Taylor Fritz is one win from his second ATP title of 2023, after defeating compatriot JJ Wolf 6-3, 7-5 on Saturday at the Atlanta Open.
Fritz, bidding for his sixth career title, will face either Ugo Humbert or Aleksandar Vukic in Sunday’s final at Atlanta Station.

The ninth-ranked American reaches his 11th career final with a stellar serving performance against the 46th-ranked Wolf. It was a pitch perfect power performance from the 25-year-old Southern California native, who connected on 35 of 42 first serve points and 12/21 second-serve points to keep Wolf at bay.
Fritz saved both break points he faced and converted two of five against Wolf to win in one hour and 21 minutes. The 25-year-old improves to 17-9 against the Top 50 and 37-16 overall in 2023.
“It was really solid,” Fritz told the crowd. “I served well the whole match, whenever I was in trouble I played a lot of good points and I just did what I was supposed to do and didn't really give him much.”
Wolf, playing in his second semifinal of the season, drops to 20-16 overall and 0-7 lifetime against the Top 10.
