Tommy Robredo just withdrew from his match against Juan Martin del Potro, moments after Victoria Azarenka withdrew during a match against Caroline Wozniacki. Del Potro and Wozniacki now move on to their respective next rounds.

Robredo looked pained yesterday during his defeat of American, Sam Querrey, but played through the pain and took a trainer break to stretch.

Del Potro now movies on to the semi-finals of the tournament, where he will face the winner of the Rafael Nadal/Ivo Karlovic match this evening.

Victoria Azarenka retires in the match against Caroline Wozniacki due to a hip flexor injury. After being down 0-3 against the No. 1 opponent, Azarneka took to the sideline for a talk with her staff. During the talk, she was told to be wise and not risk a further injury, despite desperately wanting to play.

Azarenka is slated to play in the upcoming Sony Ericson Open in Miami, which she won in 2009, later this month. Azarenka has had a slew of training difficulties and notably collapsed on court after a pre-game concussion.

Wozniacki will now take on the winner of the Maria Sharapova/Shuai Peng match taking place later this afternoon.
