(September 19, 2010) Tennis tattoo king Janko Tipsarevic may consider some new ink for his right arm: Davis Cup finalist. Tipsarevic swept Radek Stepanek, 6-0, 7-6(6), 6-4 to clinch Serbia's 3-2 comeback win over the Czech Republic, sending Serbia into its first Davis Cup final in history. Serbia will host France, which swept Argentina, 5-0, in Lyon, in the December 3-5th Davis Cup final.

Less than 24 hours ago, Serbia was teetering on the edge of elimination.

Tomas Berdych and Stepanek put the Czech Republic one win from a trip to its second straight Davis Cup final, beating World No. 2 Novak Djokovic and Nenad Zimonjic, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-1 in Belgrade on Saturday.

In a rematch of the Wimbledon semifinal, Djokovic, who arrived in Belgrade exhausted on Wednesday after his loss to Rafael Nadal in the US Open final on Monday, withstood a slow start and a right knee issue to beat Berdych 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.

Djokovic's victory evened the tie and set the stage for Tipsarevic's heroics.
Tipsarevic, who beat Berdych, 7-5, 6-2, 2-6, 7-6(5) to level the tie at 1-1 on Friday, came out firing.

Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra thrilled French fans in Lyon, powering past Argentina's Eduardo Schwank and Horacio Zeballos, 6-4, 7-5, 6-3 to give the host an insurmountable 3-0 lead over Argentina and clinch France's first trip to the Davis Cup final since 2002 on Saturday.  France won the final two dead matches today to score its second straight 5-0 sweep.

France was a 5-0 winner over defending champion Spain, which played without Nadal, in the July quarterfinals.

Clement and Llodra partnered to win the 2007 Wimbledon title, beating the Bryan brothers in the final. The pair joined forces in Davis Cup for the first time since 2008 and showcased their fast hands at net in seizing the opening set on a rapid-fire volley point.

France played without the injured Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and captain Guy Forget opted to play the 32-year-old Clement rather than Richard Gasquet. The move paid off as France advanced to the final.

"I am very proud, they're all here together, the seven of them, those who played and those who also contributed to this victory," Forget said. "There is still a great tie to be played."

The combination of Clement's flat, fast returns and left-hander Llodra's crisp volleys proved too much for Argentina, which fell behind 2-5 in the third set.

The vocal Argentine fans, waving the country's flag, exhorted Schwank and Zeballos to fight back. They gained one game before France closed the door.

France swept defending Davis Cup champion Spain, which was without World No. 1 Rafael Nadal, in the July quarterfinals. France has won nine consecutive Davis Cup matches, a streak that dates back to its 4-1 win over Germany in the opening round.
