Fernando Verdasco played one of the most memorable matches in tennis history against fellow Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the 2009 Australian Open semifinals. He would lose that match after a five-hour battle, but it would provide a springboard for the best season of his career, propelling him into the world's top 10.

He has remained a familiar face on the ATP Tour, even staging a doubles renaissance in 2013. He and partner David Marrero were the surprise victors at the ATP World Tour Finals in London, helping him reach a career-high doubles ranking of No. 8.

Verdasco stopped by for a Tennis Now Lightning Round at the US Men’s Clay Court Championships where he discussed his worst tennis memory, his favorite fitness move, what he would be doing if he weren’t playing tennis and more. Enjoy!
