The ageless John McEnroe will team up with current WTA No. 3 Venus Williams to captain the Americas’ squad at next year’s Hong Kong Tennis Classic.

The annual four-day tournament begins Jan. 5 and is a lead-up to the Australian Open.There are four teams made up of one male and two female players representing the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Russia and Europe.

Leading the European team will be current WTA No. 2 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark and Swedish Hall of Famer Stefan Edberg. Maria Sharapova will lead the Russian team and Na Li the Asian squad, with more players to be announced at a later date.
