Seldom has one tournament had so much effect on the rankings.

The results of the Australian Open will see seven placeholders change in the Top 10, including all of the Top 6.

Chief among the shake-up is Kim Clijsters, who will ascend from third to second tomorrow, needing 140 points to bypass No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki.

Vera Zvonareva falls to third, while Francesca Schiavone jumped from seventh to fourth, a career best. Samantha Stosur (5th) and Venus Williams (6th) swap spots, while Australian Open finalist Li Na jumps from 11th to seventh, the highest rank ever by an Asian woman.

Na will surpass No. 8 Jelena Jankovic, No. 9 Victoria Azarenka and No. 10 Elena Dementieva, who retired at the end of 2010.

With her quarterfinal appearance last week, Agnieszka Radwanska will jump from 14th to 10th, while injured Serena Williams tumbles from fourth to 12th. Maria Sharapova jumps up two spots to 13th, and Flavia Pennetta will shoot up from 25th to 16th
