Serena Williams' drama is confined to off-court occurrences these days, but fans still dream of seeing Serena play the big stage. Today Williams reports receiving "the biggest compliment ever" from a fan who believed the aspiring actress was an "American Idiot."

"Just got the biggest compliment ever. Someone just asked me if I was (part of the) Green Day Broadway play as one of the actors!!!! Made my day!!!" Serena tweeted.

A hard-core fan of the band Green Day, Williams joined Donald Trump and Whoopi Goldberg in attending opening night of Green Day's American Idiot on Broadway in April.

The second-ranked Williams announced she is "likely" out for the season after straining her right foot in a Florida training session on Saturday, but continues to stay active on Twitter.

One of tennis' top Twitter stars, said reading tweets from her favorite band, Green Day, can rock her world.

"I have a lot of fun with it. I think it's a cool way of connecting with the die hard fans," Williams said of her fondness for Twitter. "For me, I follow Green Day on Twitter, and whenever they tweet I get incredibly excited. I'm like, 'Oh, my God.' I'm so happy and I really like to know what's going on in their lives because I'm a die hard Green Day fanatic. For those people that like me half as much as I like them, I like to keep them in the loop with my life."
