Bernard Tomic (December 5, 2012) -- It appears Tennis Australia has had enough of Bernard Tomic. In a new article for Melbourne's The Age newspaper, Linda Pearce reports that Tomic has been suspended from competing for Australia in their upcoming Davis Cup tie against Taiwan next year The decision was made in part by Davis Cup captain Patrick Rafter who earlier expressed disappointment in Tomic's on-court performance throughout the season.

The article also states that Tennis Australia will likely cut off funding Tomic at the start of 2013. This is in response to Tomic's continuing run-ins with police, the latest being a bizarre incident in late October when Tomic got into a drunken fight with a friend in a hot tub outside a Gold Coast apartment complex.
