(August 11, 2012)—Christian Harrison, younger brother of World No. 59 Ryan Harrison, was defeated in the first round of qualifying by Alejandro Falla of Colombia, 6-3, 6-3 Saturday at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati.

According to Twitter reports, Christian's big brother Ryan was in attendance today, but he had to escape autograph-seekers first.

Christian, 18, is two years younger than Ryan.

Ernests Gulbis
, Grigor Dimitrov, Michael Russell, Jack Sock and Igor Andreev all were sent packing after first round qualifying action today.

Top-seeded Jeremy Chardy, Fabio Fognini, David Goffin and Sergiy Stakhovsky advanced.
