Video: Federer Takes out Sand Wedge vs. Bolelli
Roger Federer
has been playing for just about a year with his newer, larger-framed racquet. That has given the 17-time Grand Slam champion plenty of time to get used to the feel of the frame. He’s gotten so good with it that Federer is now able to use the racquet as a golf club when necessary.

Watch as Federer pulls out the sand wedge to carve this floating dropper against Italian Simone Bolelli during his second-round victory on Day 3.
Now that ball had some bite!
Federer also used his racquet as a hybrid on this seeing-eye backhand which earned him a crucial break in the second set. A perfectly placed golf—er, tennis—shot if we ever saw one (see video below).
