Tabilo, who won his maiden ATP title in January at Auckland, took out Corentin Moutet, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, to reach a final on home soil for the first time.

The 26-year-old southpaw is up to 39 in the live rankings with his win, and will aim to become the third Chilean to win the title at Santiago, along with Cristian Garin in 2021 and Nicolas Jarry last season.

His task will be difficult.

Tabilo will face surging Sebastian Baez, who stretched his career-best winning streak to eight victories on Saturday with a 6-4, 6-2 Victory to reach his 8th ATP final.

Baez, who won his biggest career title last week at Rio, improves to 15-5 on the season with his win over Martinez.

Tabilo took the pair’s only previous meeting, 6-1, 7-6(4), in the quarterfinals on the red clay of Cordoba in 2022.
