Vania King will seek her second career WTA title as she enters the Guangzhou Open with another three-set win.

King battled China's Zheng Jie in Friday's semifinals in a match that once again forced King to come back after she dropped the first set 6-3. But King, who came through qualifying this week, rallied to beat Zheng 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 in a close contest with King winning 99 points to 97 for her opponent.

This is the fourth straight three-set win at Guangzhou this week for King, who now aims to win her second career title since claiming Bangkok in 2006. King is also into the doubles semifinals with her partner Galina Voskoboeva.

Zhang Reaches First Ever WTA Final Over Meusburger

China's Zhang Shuai is into her first WTA final after a convincing straight-sets win in the semifinals. Zhang, who was given a wildcard into the event, had little trouble against Austria's Yvonne Meusburger as Zhang advanced 6-1, 6-1.

Zhang has not dropped a set all week. King leads the overall head-to-head 1-0, having won their only meeting in Tokyo two years ago.
